Using After Effects to Create Video Content for Business Ads
I use this software for creative animations for products, I'm able to also create Instagram videos on this perfectly fine. I love the fact that you can save your settings for sizes etc, i.e i've saved Instagram Videos as a size template and so i don't need to keep setting the composition from scratch every time.
Pros
I love that it's so easy to use in conjunction with illustrator, making it such a versatile software. You can create animation from scratch using just illustrator and after effects. It gives life to your still illustrations.
Cons
I can't think of many things I dislike, however it would be even more amazing if it did have tools to create illustrations from within the same software too. At the moment you would have to create your objects in illustrator to then move into after effects. If this was the case, it would become a very independent software of it's own.
Limitless capability. A happy medium of simplicity and complexity.
After effects has provided the ability to create new stylized effects and looks for branded content to further engage with viewers and take the content to the next level. It has also optimized the workflow in some cases when rendering some effects. Tracking, compositing and motion graphics are not only elevated visually but are drafted at a much more rapid pace in comparison to creating the final product with adobe premiere alone, Avid, or final cut.
Pros
As a video editor who came from Final Cut and Motion, I've slowly transitioned into adobe's editing programs and I will never regret it. After effects is easily the best software to track, composite and create special effects for your content. It offers all the standard, necessary tools while adding useful smart tools to streamline your workflow and leaves room for innovation to create new looks and effects that have yet to be created. When using after effects the question is never can we do something, it's how? Which in my personal opinion is a win.
Cons
I will say for beginners or people without higher performing hardware, this program can be intimidating and frustrating to work with at first glance. However it's something that everyone can work past. Lastly, although there are some methods to stay organized within the program, I would like to see new methods of organization incorporated to make complex projects easier to look at and navigate through.
